 Supposedly it's going to rain tomorrow...So we cancelled our Edible Plant Walk and post-poned it for next week March 6th, 10am-12pm. Please join us, and if you can't we'll be doing the walk every month!

Wild Edible Plants Walk

Saturday February 27th 10am to noon
$12 with RSVP/ $15 at the door
Join activist, naturalist, and mom Caroline Colesworthy on a Wild Edible Plant walk that will change the way you walk through town. You'll learn to identify enough plants to fill a salad bowl at dinner time no matter where you live. There's no food more local than the weeds growing around you. There's no food healthier than rogue wild food. And it's FREE!

If you are interested in attending a workshop and would also Love to attend as a helper, 
you can receive the workshop at no cost, and help with the set/up and assisting the host/

Join activist, naturalist, and mom Caroline Colesworthy in the kitchen to learn to ferment a few dietary staples. Ancient food preservation not only used zero fossil fuels, it also enhanced the nutritional value of our food. Make friends with 
Lactobacillus, brew up refreshing kombucha for pennies, and taste vinegar so fine it can't be bought. In addition to a head full of recipes, you'll walk away with a jar of raw kraut as well as mother cultures to start your own fermenting adventures.

the General Store is connecting people to essential living skills through community environment and self. Essential livings skills are functional & practical livings skills that bridge our hands to our home and then into the environment.
These include anywhere from gardening, cooking, home-care, health, hand-crafts, transportation, beauty, livestock, energy, food production, recycling, up-cycling, relational skills and consciousness.
the General Store will provide a diverse way of sharing educational information to the community through hands-on classes and workshops, on-site demonstrations and social gatherings.
The General Store is communal site that provides a educational space, locally grown cafe, garden, and retail supply.
